I have recently joined the W’innovate team under their Graduate Scheme as an Assistant Surface Pattern & Print Designer. I was lucky enough to meet W’innovate at New Designers when I was awarded the Wilko & W’innovate award. As part of my award I was able to visit the team on a two-week placement where I had the opportunity to design surface pattern & prints for products across Home-ware and Christmas.
I gained invaluable experience from my two-week placement. In such a short time, I was able to work across different categories and develop further my varied handwriting and style for the commercial market, as well as understanding more about the design and manufacturing processes.
I am so fortunate to have been offered a year contract with W’innovate working alongside other talented designers in such a vibrant studio. I’m excited to learn even more about the processes within the categories I’m working on and also seeing my designs on products when they launch next year! I am absolutely loving working for W’innovate and am so grateful for this opportunity as a recent graduate
